No Electricity In One Room Breaker Not Tripped

I ve found two more receptacles on the exterior of my house that have also lost power.

I took the one out but there is still no power. It was not tripped and functions ok. The circuit breaker in question did not trip. A circuit breaker the connecting wire and appliance however are all components of a simple circuit that you can troubleshoot with a standard voltage meter.

All lights were working before i changed that one. Electricity is off but circuit breaker isn t tripped when the lights go out in one or more rooms or in a series of electrical outlets the culprit is sometimes a circuit breaker or a fuse has blown. Sometimes the breaker may not have fully tripped to the other side so you may need to check each breaker in turn. Unfortunately some people are surprised that this isn t the case.

If one or more lights in your home have gone out and your circuit breaker isn t tripped what could the issue be. It is a rare occurrence which is one reason why a situation where there is no power and the circuit breaker is not tripped can be puzzling at first. Given the location of this socket it appears that it may be the 1st in the chain of receptacles going through my living room that have lost power. Of course the issue might not be the gfci at all. Once all of the power has been restored return to the area and plug in one appliance or device at a time.
