I ve found two more receptacles on the exterior of my house that have also lost power.
No electricity in one room breaker not tripped.
I took the one out but there is still no power.
It was not tripped and functions ok.
The circuit breaker in question did not trip.
A circuit breaker the connecting wire and appliance however are all components of a simple circuit that you can troubleshoot with a standard voltage meter.
All lights were working before i changed that one.

Given the location of this socket it appears that it may be the 1st in the chain of receptacles going through my living room that have lost power.
Of course the issue might not be the gfci at all.
Once all of the power has been restored return to the area and plug in one appliance or device at a time.
